Xbox360 W/less Controller + games £9.99 @ Comet!

Hey guys

I went to Comet yesterday to collect what I thought was a pretty good deal;
Wireless Controller (White) plus Forza 2 game for £19.99 (collection only).
I reserved this online,and headed off to the store. When I got there I asked the SA if there were anymore (I wanted two ideally) and she said she would have a look for me on their system.

She came back with this;

The controller comes along with Project Gotham 3 and Arcade Live Unlimited.
Although both of these gamesare now fairly old,and have limited resale or exchange value, you should have no problem getting your £10 back through resale or you could just exchange the games. CEX will give you £6 for the set in exchange (or £5 cash) making this a steal for a wireless controller.

Call the stores for these as by the look of the codes they are old stock and are dependant on the store still having them,although they should appear on their computers.

If these aren't available, you can still get the £19.99 deal, and do the same with Forza 2 (£6 exchange, £5 cash) - although it is a pretty good game if you don't already own it!

Good luck on this one Gaming Money Savers, I hope someone else can find this deal.

The £19.99 deal is still available in the Hemel Hempstead and Tottenham Hale stores if anyone is near those...

i just got a 360 yesterday and would love to get a deal like this...nothing in comet in the midlands though!

i am in london tomorrow but i will be central...which is the closest comet to central london?

Sounds like the SA saw it and thought it was a good deal and decided it was an "error" my local said they had 2 in stock and have reserved one for me.

Yeah I agree with you.
Spent ages arguing, saying I reserved it wasting my lunch break etc. In the end got Fozza + viva + controller for £35 (I know similar prices are /were available).
Wasnt easy though. Might be an idea to check with the store first..

I ended up with the same bundle, the wireless controller, forza and viva games but the very kind manager allowed me to purchase it for the same price as the wireless controller and forza pack that I had reserved originally at £19.99 but was out of stock when I got to the store.

Would recommend being insistent but polite that the problem was theirs and not yours, you may end up with a better deal.
