Think you should be fine without a sauce, though if you wanted to do one, I think a cheesey saucde would work well. As for veg, I like asparagus & carrot (cut into batons, looks 'classier' when you're doing it for a special meal), not sure if you can get asparagus in the shops at the minute thoughMaybe one of those baby sweetcorn/mini carrots/mangetout packs would work nicely.

Just wanted to say thank you for all the ideas, tips, recipes and advice!
This is the final plan, just to let you know!
Starter: Breaded Mushrooms (cheated and bought some from frozen shop-99p! and soooo much easier!) with HM garlic dip
Main: chicken breast stuff with cream cheese and wrapped in pancetta, served with roast potatoes and carrots and mangteu(sp?)
Pud: A weird concoction (sp?) involving a yummy hm biscuict base and layers of strawberries hm choc mousse and ice cream.
