    Hi Avi
Will it be a concrete or wooden floor. ?

I've recently had my hall / kitchen and downstairs toilet done with vinyl floor tiles similar to amtico. We had it done with a oak colour and a border made out with a black 5mm bead.....looks pretty good !

If you want the details please pm me.

Hi. We have just had a conservatory installed, 2.7m x 2.7m with a concrete floor. We bought some ceramic tiles which were £4.99 per square metre from Homebase. A mate of mine who's a bit handy with all things DIY put them down for us. First he put on a coating of a polymer-based sealant and left it 24 hours. Then he used pre-mixed grout/adhesive to put the tiles down.

We now have a fantastic looking conservatory floor!

amtico is avery hard wearing vinyl floor covering. Tons of colours and patterns.
When you go shopping, chances are you'll be walking on amtico or similar flooring.

You need to screed the floor first then lay the tiles down with vinyl adhesive.

Amtico is gorgeous - really stunning - but quite expensive, esp for larger areas.

If you like that look, but want to cut the budget, a high quality vinyl might do it?

amtico is very very expensive !

This stuff is as good quality as amtico....well almost !

Normally goes for around £28sq/m, but I found a bloke selling it off for £8sq/m

Can't grumble at that now can we ?? :j
A friend in my street sells other vinyl flooring for a living...even he couldn't believe the price and the quality !

  • We've got Chinese Slate tiles in our Extension / Conservatory. They're great - really attractive and practical.

Quite expensive, though - about £18 per sq. mtr.

Don't use self adhesive vinyl flooring. I did and sun melts it and it lifts off the floor. I re-did it all with proper adhesive in the end and now it's fine. what a messy job that was. If you have a concrete base, I would choose a ceramic product.
