An absolute waste of space. What on earth this thread has to do with being a Grabbit beats the life out of me. Many folks (like me) will have wasted time ploughing though all the ridiculous waffle and still be none the wiser as to what this offer is all about!

Is it national? What are the qualifying products? When does it end? Just a few questions which might have helped the understanding!

This post reminded me to thank the op!

And how about the fact that Tesco and Morrisons (just next door to each other and the only petrol stations in the town) happen to have EXACTLY the same price for their fuel. Which happens to be 6p a litre more expensive than they are charging in a nearby town where there are more filling stations. So much for competition!!

Yes also town near me tesco and morrison next to each other, tesco always raises price first then day after morrisons follow suite, ans by the way they are 3p a litre more expensive than next town 6 miles away, says alot for so called competition:mad:
  • Why not just use someone else's credit card if you want to commit fraud?

I think you ignored the smilies - I think we need a tongue in cheek smilie!

Although you could think of it as playing the system, not saying I don't agree to a certain extent but it isn't really that different to using the click through on cashback sites when you have no intention of buying from the site visited and I don't see anyone saying that it is fraud.

In general, I very rarely have time to try clothes on there and then and I also find that the sizing labels are very hit and miss. I can be a 12 in one item and a 16 in another.
I also genuinely do buy lots of my clothes from tesco so they do alright from me.
(sitting here in tesco jeans, t-shirt and jumper. In fact the only item I'm wearing today that isn't from tesco is my bra which is from M&S as I had some gift vouchers to use up and tesco didn't have my style!)

Some possible explanation of this promo, just Tesco doing some local promo again
    This article says
"Tesco has repeatedly insisted it operates a "national prices" policy. Yesterday's Competition Commission report said: "Tesco argued that its prices were national as a necessity in terms of the way in which it engaged in competitive rivalry for the goodwill of customers."
Does this mean that its prices are the same across all of Tescos?
They certainly aren't. For instance, in the summer we brought value cherry tomatoes for 25p in the south coast store but they were 59p in my usual store.
