anyone seen any gd deals on oven hob + hood?

i'm soon to be fitting a new kitchen and need a new single electric oven (built into base unit), gas hob (fit into worktop) and chimney hood.

often i see these offered as a set. just wondering where is a good place to buy online and has anyone seen any bargains lately? the diy shops seem to charge a premium for appliances.

  • Hi,
I am in the process of installing a new kitchen and have been scouring the net for bargains about the best I have come across for the oven and hob were with Screwfix
    http://www.screwfix.com/prods/92376/Kitchens/Appliances/Electric-Cookers/Indesit-Trade-Oven-Gas-Hob-Pack
Also went on the Wickes website and although they don't show appliance packs when I put my hob & oven into the basket they automatically applied a discount at the checkout stage (think it was about £69) which matched the Screwfix price.
I was after a Stainless steel chimney hood and sourced one off the net for £79, can't remember the name of the company but can look it out for you if it will be any help.
I also think it might be a good idea to actually visit some of the major stores B&Q, Wickes, Focus etc and ask them if they will give you an all in price they are normally pretty good and if you don't ask you don't get:D
    Good luck
  • Hi There

I work in the domestic appliance industry and there is one independent retailer that none of the big boys can match. The company is Direct Discounts (www.direct-discounts.com) and if you contact him he will quote you the best price. He doesn't deliver everywhere in the country but he is worth contacting (shops in Manchester, Halifax and shortly Huddersfield). If its Rangemaster products then he's your man; he has the biggest display in the country! Integrated appliances and built - ferociously competitive.
Hope this helps and happy savings.
  • hi that screwfix one looks a bargain. but how do i know if its built under or built in? i realised i need a built under one as its going to be under the worktop?
  • Jabberwock
Did you go for the screwfix package? did you see any that included a chimney extractor with it?
    thanks
  • We've just finished our extension :j and yesterday we had delivered and fitted our new rangemaster oven. It's gorgeous and I can't wait to use it. Just want to say how good Direct Discounts were; they were very helpful and even saved me £125 compared with Currys.:rotfl:
The web address was useful but for rangemaster stuff in detail www.rangemaster-cooker-stockist.co.uk was much better. Thanks again. Can't wait!!!!:T
