had some issues with my pc which i rectified via hijack this and this board, one problem was my drives where not showing so decided to take it to resolve
was advised i might need new drive for the cd or dvd but that s it,took it in to my local shop, week goes by,seems a problem with reinstalling windows and i will need a motherboard, surely not ,the pc was working fine on internet and certain games so why the motherboard, anyway cost is 87 quid.
phone call today dvd drive not working, drive is knackered ,i will need new one 28 quid.
yes there where faults with my pc such as sound not coming through to one speaker but to land up with bill for 120 makes me think mmm
motherboard i thought that was the hear of the pc
any tips from experts there are appreciated

i would argue the toss m8, it's not your fault that someone isn't up to scratch when it comes to fixing a pc. you said it was working when you took it in so the board must have been ok, maybe a reflash of the bios or a damaged socket could make a hard/cd drive not appear but sounds unlikely.0
