Sale of house not on land registry

Some ex neighbours of ours sold thier house a couple of years ago and whilst i can find all the other house prices in the area there is no record of this one??
any ideas why a sale would not show on the land registry
its the only one close to ours in style/type for a price comparison

Same problem here with a block of nine flats of which only 2 are listed at LR.0

Find out if the house/address is registered with the LR - it will cost about £3. You might even get the info for nothing if it is not registered. You used to put in an address they would come up with a list of likely hits and you would confirm, then they would ask what you wanted and charge you accordingly. If they cannot find it they cannot charge you.
If it is then they may not have actually sold it, they may be renting it out or they may have a private arrangement with relatives0 -
The land registry information I can get online from the free sites isn't 100% correct or present. I can name a handful of instances myself where I know absolutely that sales have happened and yet have not appeared on the land registry I see online.
It doesn't mean the sales weren't legal or never happened. Just the data is incomplete or incorrect.0
