Help - in dispute with credit card re fraud

Hello,
I'm struggling to convince my credit card (Halifax) that I have been a victim of fraud so would appreciate any advice I can get.
Basically I suddenly get a statement from them for a £20 charge from 02. This was a surprise to them as I had not used the card for over 12 months. From my point, a card being used after so long should really raise a few alarm bells. I reported that the transaction was fradulent but Halifax are insistent that it is a valid transaction.
Only contacting them a second time questioning why I keep getting charged late fees for fraudulent purchase that I was told that according to them it was resolved (they never informed me of this) and that I was liable for the full amount including late fees. They also warned that my credit file will be adversely affected.
I know it would be easier to just pay the bill but the whole attitude of Halifax is just so arrogant that I rather see them in court then pay.

Ask them about their complaints procedure and use it.
Can you prove that the transaction was not yours (perhaps by having a contract phone or using another network?) I know you don't have to as it is up to the card company to prove it was you - but it might help.0
