I am taking my girlfriend to a concert in Shepherds Bush Empire in September 05. Does any one have any discount codes or suggestions for low cost travel for us both from Stansted airport to Central London?
Thanks

A6 airbus to Baker st or marble arch then tube0

Bear in mind that the return fare for both of you will be virtually £40,plus it will take
about two hours from the time you get on the bus at Stansted till the time you reach the Empire.
From Heathrow the return fare is almost £10,plus the tube will take 40 minutes
or so-providing you don't land at terminal 4 where the tube station is closed.
If you haven't bought your air tickets yet,you may wish to take that info into your calculations.0 -
http://www.londontoolkit.com/travel/terravision_bus.htm £11.80 return to Liverpool Street and then underground train to Shepherds Bush.

Yes that woiuld save about £6 coming through Liverpool street-though little saving on time, moreover the terravision is an hourly service as opposed to the A6 which goes every 30 minutes.
I don't know when you arrive at Stansted, but midafternoon /early evening any day
of the week and you can take the quoted time of 55 minutes for the journey to
Liverpool street with a pinch of salt.0 -
Actually, it would save £0.40p. Terravision was included for complete information.0

Look at https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/planmyjourney and see what the discount is if you have a Network Railcard. Sometimes if you select Seven Sisters or Rectory Road as a destination it is cheaper, just get off at Tottenham Hale and buy your Underground ticket. In my experience they don't check that you actually have a Network Railcard.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

the value of the money saving expert forum is the ability to pull together collective resources and local knowledge in order to get a better deal. I had checked the BAA website prior to posting, however I was simply asking for individuals opinions and recommendations, which many people have taken the time to offer.2 heads are better than 1….unless they are on the same body!0
