Ulster Bank and Barclaycard

I took out an Ulster Bank credit card because it was 0% for 6 months with no transfer fee. The 0% period has now come to an end so have looked at alternatives and decided to go for the Barclaycard Platimum which is 0% for 14 months but with a fee of 2.5%, this all went through very quickly and so swiftly got on to Barclaycard to transfer a balance from my Ulster Bank CC but was really frustrated when they said that they don't have an agreement with Ulster Bank so couldn't transfer a balance - I have now had to close my Barclaycard CC because it is useless. Has anyone else had this problem and can anyone recommend a card that does have an agreement with Ulster Bank?

Any MBNA credit card or Egg Money will allow you to transfer most of credit limit to your current account (for a fee) from where you can pay to Ulster Bank. (if you can get one, best of luck)

So that's Bank of Ireland* (Ulster Rugby card), Ulster Bank, and Santander (Abbey) that Barclaycard are now refusing to BT from.
Looks like it's time to update the best balance transfers article, which recommends Barclaycard as the 'best buy'.
* This might also affect the Post Office card.0
