You should be able to pick up a standard camera and recording software for about £50.00 no sound though.

He'll also need a capture card (mine cost over £400  ).

I went here but there are loads of other companies out there.

Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.
  • Hopefully they don't leave "piles of pooh".

I've seen items concealed in hoods and crisp packets.A quick call to the staff and they are advised they are on camera.this normally gets the item put back.

There are links in there that will show you cameras working.Thats the same one I was going to show you.

    Certain cameras are cheaper elsewhere.

The panasonic ones have their own recording software and no need for a computer to run them,Just broadband and a lead.

How ironic, they use Citylink as their courier. The very same courier I'm having problems with and would have used a camera to prove their lack of delivery. :rotfl:

I normally catch shop lifters or the staff saying I was in early.

For that you need 100fps and zero lux for winter. Well, for outdoor use anyway.

Without clear facial recognition, in the case of burglary, the Police aren't interested.

Initial city link should have trackers on their vehicles showing where they are and where they have been.

Unfortunately in my case today the whole point was they did turn up but didn't bother getting out the van. They just reversed out the street and drove off. So no surprising they got my "door colour" right. But of course that's only my word against theirs. I can't prove they didn't come to the door or put a card through. Can't prove the absence of something (unless I had video footage of that time period of course).

To clarify here, the camera only needs to be 25 frames / sec, the DVR (capture card or otherwise) should be capable of number of cameras *25 (For PAL) to get full frame rate. So if you have 4 PAL cameras, 100fps.

That said, good quality images come from more than being able to record at full frame rate, but it does help.
