I followed the advice given and on the next scan nothing showed up.
Just did my weekly scan and its all back again.
Any thoughts?
C:\WINDOWS\apwf.exe is infected with Adware.180Search C:\WINDOWS\NDNuninstall5_64.exe is infected with Adware.NDotNet C:\WINDOWS\NDNuninstall6_38.exe is infected with Adware.NDotNet
C:\Program Files\QuickSearch\QuickSearchBar1_27.dll is infected with Spyware.QuickSearch
C:\Program Files\Gluz\saap.exe is infected with Adware.180Search
C:\Program Files\Gluz\saap.exe is infected with Adware.ZangoSearch
C:\Program Files\Gluz\saaphook.dll is infected with Adware.180Search
By the way I am running MS firewall & AVG but the when i unistalled AVG 2 months ago the laptop ran soooooo much quicker!

Itsbeef.
Are you not running anti-spyware software??
If you are not running AVG what anti-virus software are you using?

Like Pimpers said, are you running anti virus software?
If not install one of these free versions
Avast - http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html
Anti Vir - http://www.free-av.com/
I would also consider SuperAntiSpyware too - https://www.superantispyware.com/superantispywarefreevspro.html0 -
I run both the AVG anti-virus and AVG anti-spyware FREE software which is updated daily if possible and scans run once a week. Also SuperAntiSpyware and SpyBot which is updated as and when, and run monthly.
Never had any problems since using these FREE software progames.

ooops forgot to mention that......
I have Spybot Search & Destroy......
Is that combination up to the job?0 -
running programs in safe mode is the answer, hit F8 on boot , then when in safe mode run Spybot and superantispywareEx forum ambassador

You need a memory resident Anti-virus software running - not just an on-demand scanner. Yes a memory resident scanner will slightly slow your system down.
Search & Destroy is just for spyware not viruses etc.. there is a difference - see the mal/spyware removal sticky thread.
Also read the sticky about firewalls - if you are running XP then the MS firewall will allow outbound calls and allow trojans to download more viruses
Ensure that you are fully upto date with MS Updates
etc..Rich people save then spend.
Poor people spend then save what's left.0 -
They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0
