As the header says.
I would like to buy about £100 of a certain share.
I enquired at the Woolwich who put me onto Barclays as they have a share dealing section.I was not able to just buy some shares,oh no I would have to set up an account and be furnished with membership number, passwords, account numbers etc.Halfway through all the form filling I lost the wiil to live and tore up all the forms. Is there anyway I can simply walk into or phone up or go online and buy shares easily?
I just want to say to someone,"Please sell me 100 shares in "Bodgit and Scarper Building Co. ,here is my debit card, thank you"Is this too much to ask or am I living in dreamland.

Hi, cslogg,
I don't think that you will find a broker who will not require you to have an account.
Try Comdirect; very easy to open an account.

" Apply online and you could be up and trading in just 10 minutes "

check out halifax.co.uk sharebuilder. They may be able to offer a better deal for small amount like £100
I use halifax share dealing, though a £12 charge would equate to 12% on £100 SO its not viable for investing with such small amounts.0 -
