I've used leftover basmati rice to make rice pudding ;)

Mind you, it was already cooked; like I say, it was a way of using it up! From cold, I added some evaporated milk to moisten it, sprinkled on some sugar and cinnamon and it made a passable substitute. :D

I wish you'd written this a few days ago! I actually threw away half a can of evaporated milk and some left over rice that had gone past their best at the weekend :o

It never even crossed my mind to mix the two together despite craving a rice pudding last week too

Was I the only girl in the school to enjoy "frogspawn"? (I still don't know if its sago or tapioca!) My popularity grew 1000fold:rolleyes: on the days we got it.
I love it (whichever it was) too

I used to get everyone's (semolina too, yum!) after they'd had the sponful of jam out of the middle ... it's a wonder I'm as syhph-like as I am :D
