Couples weekend in Blackpool - help!

I have booked tickets for me and my boyfriend to go and see Chubby Brown in Blackpool in March and would like to stay overnight, but my problem is that i am fussy about where i stay...i have never stayed overnight in Blackpool before and would like a hotel/B&B that is modernish and clean, i know it sounds snobby but they all seem really old fashioned and it puts me off (we are both 20), so any recommendations? I just want a nice clean place to sleep and have breakfast but not too flowery hehe....thanks in advance! xx

I would recommend the Big Blue, Number One or the Imperial.

None of them are cheap, but each very nice x

I would second the Big Blue. My partner and I have stayed there twice now without any problems. Check their website - sometimes they have discounts and other special offers.

We stayed in Cliffs last year, (or maybe it was the year before..) and our room was shabby, smokey and noisy! I complained, but they didn't have any other rooms to offer us, even though I specified a non-smoking room to begin with! I know it's not the end of the world, but I'm also quite picky about where we stay now.

    I, too, am very fussy.

The.Seabreeze guest house, in Gynn Avenue, 2 minutes from the sea front, north shore, near the Imperial, won the best guest house in the North West about three years ago, they only have 5 or 6 rooms but they have TV, DVD etc., dressing gowns, really lovely,
I stayed there whilst on business, I suggest that you enquire as soon as you can as I would imagine they would book up quickly

I hope you have a good stay

  • Hi , try the Glenheath Hotel , v.cheap + clean (have a look on their website).
Ive ended up in some dives when ive been to Blackpool but i can definitely
recommend this place :T . I think theyve only got 5 or 6 rooms so book up early.
  • Thank you all very much for your replies, I really appreciate it, I think the Big Blue is a little over my budget but I am going to check out the others recommended - thanks again!
