Nationwide - proof of address?

Options
I recently signed up to nationwide via online banking. They have sent me a letter saying I need to send them some docuements for proof of ID and address. Now I have proof of ID (passport) but not address (I Live with my parents). It says on the letter that they might accept other forms of proof of address.

I am going to my nearest nationwide in a few days - Will they accept a bank statement as proof of address?

Also can I get rid of money bags in a nationwide?

    andrew,

I think a recent (<3m old) bank statement does count as would the last Council Tax bill which should show you as an occupant if you are on the electoral roll.

Nationwide need to do moneylaundering checks and should not unreasonably refuse whatever proof you do have - you may have to ask them to call someone at head office to confirm if you can't provide something on their list.

Never heard of a problem with depositing coinage at Nationwide, although they might not be too happy if you do it at a peak time of day.

Smile :), it makes people wonder what you have been up to.

I remember a sign last time I went into my branch that there is some kind of limit of how much coin you can pay in.

Perhaps this depends where you live. My Council Tax bill just uses my name as part of addressing the bill, no mention of any occupants at all (though there are two of us).
