i have a shreader free from my parents, they felt everything should be cross shreaded and got a new one which shreads old credit cards - so i inherited the old strip shreader. i do lots of craft with kids at my church and have often used the shreader to create shreded paper to use for this. i do differen colours and put a carrier bag in the bucket to keep colours true and seperate, so much cheaper than buying shreaded paper.

Markets and the sort of cheap book shop that also sells random stationery etc will be likely to have cheap tissue paper too.
