OK. I've had enough with both them and BT now and need some advice.
When I was ooop north I used to work for Virgin.net (adsl side of things before NTL changed the name) got free BB and never had an issue.
Moved down to Brentford and decided because I never had any problems with them and I knew how they worked, and the reviews I had seen at the time were good, I'd go with Virgin again. Doh!
So. For months now we have had issues. We've done all the usual things - changed equipment, wires etc, expect use the test socket as we don't have one for some reason.
Eventually we took it to BT as we felt that the issue was with them. We were getting static on the line and they found a fault and fixed it. All good for 2 months and then it came back. So again BT were called and this time it has been fixed.
It was all working fine before Christmas, never went below 2 meg (meant to be on up to 8 but we all know what that's like!). However, I've come back home early Jan and it's pretty crap to be honest, and this time there is no static!
It's OK through the day and for a lot of the time through the night. But every weekend it's crap, most of the time below 400kbps, which BT state is the level that a problem has occured.
Now the last time we had the issue we did lots of speedtests on the BT speed test site, all showing the speed lower than 400. However, we have never, or have only once or twice managed the speedtest 2 which BT use as gospel as to whether an issue can be reported. Without this second test, Virgin state a problem cannot be logged. But it never ever loads for us. It states we have to do it, I follow the instructions but the page will never load!
So, after another weekend of crap internet I'm at the end of my tether. I still have 6 months left with them and don't know what to do anymore. Any suggestions? And sorry for the very very long post!

Is 400 megabits per second your sync speed or your download speed? I presume you are trying a reconnect/reboot router?
This might help
