How to pay deposit?

How do I pay the deposit the my solicitor?

They say they can take either bank draft or telegraphic transfer.

I think drafts costs less.

What is the best transfer option??

If you have enough time, a simple bank transfer won't cost anything. It's the same day transfer that costs money.

my 10% deposit is quite huge so the cost of a chaps transfer is offset with the extra interest i'll earn on the account.

Some people say that they pay deposit by credit card.
How does it possible? Who decides whether I can pay by credit card or not?

Even if I can pay part of deposit by credit card that'll be great :)

It shouldn't really matter they will give you their client account details and you should pay into it, cash, bankers draft or BACS/CHAPS the one thing they are not keen on is waiting for cheques to clear
