I am trying to get a job but once I'm back at Uni it's difficult to fit something around my timetable, and weekends are normally filled with work. I always work the full summer anyway so should get a bit of money saved up that way.
Get real! Most students work part time, even those who are studying nursing! I'm not talking about an enormous amount (although others may disgree!) maybe 10/12 hours per week. If your life is so filled with study you'd probably be better to stay at home with your parents.
I'm not suggesting that moving in together is a good idea but if you were planning to live with a fellow student (either as a couple or just as house mates) you'd have to manage on much less money than this. How do you think everybody else manages, there's no magic answer.0 -
Excuse me, how the hell do you know my situation well enough to act so patronising? How do you know what goes on in my life? You don't, so try finding out the facts and get off your high horse.
I only asked for help to see if I was entitled to benefits, as I have no clue about them, I don't need to be told to get a job, that isn't the question I asked. I live in the real world, you just don't know whats going on in my life. If I could get a job, I would tomorrow. The only reason I've got time to post this at all is because I'm off University for exams.
bestpud - thanks a lot, will try it again sometime today, think that may mean getting nothing but it's worth a try.0 -
Hi lexilex,
You can enter your student loan into the 'Other Income' section.
Best of luck with your exams xGone ... or have I?0 -

If you live at home and think that students are eligible for benefits then you really don't live in the real world! I'm sorry that you seem to be struggling to meet the demands of your course and wish you all the best.0 -

That is why lexilex posted, because she didn't know ... surely that is why most people post on here? xGone ... or have I?0 -

Older, give the girl a break she really is only just finding her way in the world and for whatever reason ( which is none of our beeswax) she has asked for help and advice we all had to started somewhere and a guiding hand along the way never hurt anybody.Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!0
