just done a balance transfer....

i have just balance transfered 2k from my halifax one card to a barclays 0% card.
i have seen online that the transaction has taken place and i have phoned to close my halifax one card.
the operator said " ok, its closed"
but the account is still showing online and says 'next payment due 28th jan'
the transfer has happend and the balance on the halifax card is £0.00
help??????????

    you will probably have some residual interest to pay on the Halifax card ... being the interest between your last statement date and the date the a/c received the funds from Barclaycard.

    I'm surprised that if you have just done a BT that it shows on your Halifax card already... normally is takes a few days.

    i closed my capital one card account in december... only just received closing letter last week..... online access disappeared within 2 weeks of informing them of closure..... so it will get closed, just takes a little time to trickle through all the ncessary admin bits
