hi
had a quick check for a holiday a few weeks ago on Mytravel and found a great price. So credit card came out and booked it straight away. Then on the email the actual cost of the holiday is £1100 more.Rung them up to complain,Luckily i had grabbed the screens and they said mail me us grabs and he would ring us back.Eventually spoke to someone who said the correct price is the higher figure we can cancel if we want.Wondering how far i should trying take this .What from a legal point of view are my rights and can they change the price after booking?
Regards

if they make a genuine mistake they can cancel your booking and refund the money.
first thing is to try and rebook this now and see what price you get. if its the higher price then i think you have to just accept the refund.
if you get the same price you booked at, take screenprints and go back to them as this could be construed as false advertising. they may then give you a deal. if they don't trading standards would be very interested in this.
we are all entitled to make a genuine mistake.0 -
