Sky+ recordings keep failing

I wonder if any of you can help?
Nearly every time I set the sky+ box to record it fails!! When I go into the information to find the fault, it tells me that no signal was being received, even though I know there is one, as I was watching another channel at the time!! :mad:

Could be a problem with the second LNB. If you're still within the warranty period, may be worth a call to Sky.0 -
I don't think this is the problem, as sometimes it does record, but more often than not it doesn't!!When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!0

Have you done the switched it off at the plug, leave it for 3 mins and switch it back on again?
I needed to do this the other week on my Sky+HD box.
I think it had been given a software update one night and hadn't been recording since.
The off/on cured mine.
