Buying part of neighbours garden
Has anyone purchased part of a neighbours garden and can you tell me exactly what's involved?

You can do it simply by filling in the relevant Land Registry form TR2. You'll need a plan too.
Or it's a simple job for a conveyancer.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac

As DFC says. We have sold part of the garden twice and it was completely straightforward. Usually the buyer pays any fees involved for both parties, but you might be able to get away without doing this if the neighbours are nice!0

Did you use a solicitor?0

Sorry for the delay - yes we did, but the buyers paid for all the legal costs and the drawing up of the plans so cost wasn't an issue for us. If I'd had to pay then I might have looked at some DIY options.0

Thx, I'm paying for it all so if anyone has gone the DIY route and can help that would be great!0

Hi,
I am thnking of buying some of my meighbour's garden.
How did you get on?
How did you do it?
Any hints/advice gratefully received.Lic.0 -
Hints - if the neighbour says "no", don't hassle them.
My parents' neighbours are dead keen to buy a chunk of their garden. My parents don't want to sell it. Neighbour keeps getting letters from EAs and surveyors saying it won't lower the value of their house, which isn't the point. My parents are getting irritated!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Did you get to buy it?
Could you tell me what was involved, I'm looking to by part of my neighbors land.0
