PC Recorded TV and Archos

Hi People,

Just wondering if anyone could help.

I have recorded a small test TV program on my PC using Windows Media Centre.

It appears to have an extension of .dvr-ms, how can I change this to something else so I can copy it, to and watch on my Archos 705 please. I've tried Movie Maker but that doesn't recognise it, Micosoft DVD Maker seems to recognise it but that will only burn to disc. :mad: I need to convert it or something so I can just drag and drop it into the Archos.

I know you can record straight to the Archos from Sky, Tv etc but I am having trouble with this as well as I can't seem to get the device to comunicate with the Sky+ box. But perhaps that's another thread for another time.:rolleyes:

Any suggestions please?

There are tools out there, try http://www.dvdvideoconverter.com/videotools/ that might help.

Yeah the Sky+ box wont connect, it needs to ensure that it has correct DRM before copying the data from Sky to an external device. I would wait for a couple of months though see what happens ;-)

The USB ports on the Sky+ box do nothing, so you definitely wouldn't be able to record directly. The only way you could do it would be to record to external dvd and copy to pc.
