Uneven temp in fridge freezer

Hi
I'm having trouble keeping the proper temperature in the fridge part of my fridge freezer. To get the middle shelf of the fridge to a safe 5 deg the bottom of the fridge gets so cold it freezes the cucumber in the salad drawer solid! It's not over filled btw and it's not a very big fridge either.
If I get the fridge so the salad isn't freezing then the middle shelf is 10 deg! The F/F is a Candy, it's a non CFC one and is A rated for energy use.Anyone got any ideas how to fix it? TIA

My Candy Frost Free Fridge Freezer has done this before, not sure how to stop it really. I've completley emptied my Fridge & cleaned it out which seams to stop it for a while but the problem returns. I only got this FF about 2/3 years ago. Am not at home at moment but will post model number up later.
I have glass bottles of milk from milkman completley freeze on me with it too!

I got mine about the same time. Could be the model then? Have not long ago given it a clean.

There isn't a fat lot you can do, the problem will be worse the warmer the weather. The only way to reduce the temperature gradient from one part of the cabinet to anther is with a better insulated cabinet. (Or more than one evaporator.)0

Thanks.

oh wonderful, what I have is a fridge freezer that can't cope with warm weather!. Hmm I'm sure I saw an article somewhere online about superinsulating a fridge or freezer.

you may want to check that the door seal is working properly. A heavily laded door may be slightly pulling the door open at the top which will make the middle to top shelves warmer. Do not have things to near the back of your fridge as its the back of the fridge that cools. You could also look at racking for your shelving rather than solid shelves, again this will help with the overall cooling and hopefully evening it out. I know the bottom shelves are designed for fruit and veg etc but these require less chilling than higher risk foods so if you get no joy then it would be safer to keep these in the lower areas.
You could if none of these work go back to the manufacturer and state that the item is not "fit for purpose" under the sale of goods act. This will run longer than your guarantee. Others may be best to advise on this area as I'm not terribly clued up on it.0
