Hi All.
I own a IBM thinkpad as they are supposed to be solid and blah blah, and this !!!!!! has failed me bigtime, its well within it warranty.
I have contacted IBM and let them know there are multiple issues along with overheating, faulty hard disk and continous lockups, (it also has some cosmetic damage (i can be careless at times  ) anyway they told me i would be charged, so as im not bothered i said not fussed and leave it be.
They collected the system from me, and it was with them over the bank holiday and i got it back, turned it on, hdd still noisey, ok they restored the recovery partition - anyone can, so lets inspect what they had done...NOTHING.
Everything was exactly the same except they recovered the system, still had faulty hdd etc etc. stilll crashes.
So i got a bit annoyed and contacted complaints etc to sort it, its been ages, got a new hdd they sent me but no luck, and the person on complaints does not even contact me or get this rolling, i am always chasing him up.
If anyone knows how i can kick them in the backside to get this rolling that would be great!!! I still have a faulty laptop that has warranty that IBM have done nothing with,
Problem is when a company goes this large, they no longer care about individual customers and maybe also because now Lenovo own the PC sector of IBM.
If anyone has any ideas of how i can get IBM to replace or sort the laptop that would be great, or if they can get me a contact for someone who is prepaired to resolve things for me, as its going too far!
Please tell me what i can do/who i can contact...where to go from here?!
Thanks all - Funny that - they wanted to get the cosmetics fixed and get the money in, but when i said no and just simply get the warranty work done, they didnt even do that!

my company use thinkpad and i have sent back probably 4-5 thinkpads back to IBM which are under warranty. the service so far has been OK. only once a laptop too ages as they were waiting for the system board. i advice is to chase them up all the time and escalate it.0

they used to be mega decent! even fix out of warranty work like cosmetic damage! i think its since this Lenovo take over I am about to see a collapse of what used to be great all round stuff from them, but the communications has been a joke, the service, the slowness, the front office who handle the laptops that are sent in. Its just messed, they just dont care!!

Am getting no where at the moment, and I will keep follwing it up.
Trust me, they did no work on the laptop, just thought they could insult me by sending the laptop back with the system restored from the recovery partition and nothing else.
Even though when I logged it they all said it was system board etc...but they have been really bad so far...Im trying to find somone in IBM i can rant to then get everything done, its been over one month. Still at square one!!!
What a joke! - Sorry rant over..
help me alll!! please help me, any contacts any pointers any thing at all!
Thanks.0
