That is terrible. i find it hard to believe that it is 1 mag per customer as in the last week alone I've received 8 with my .com orders. I've got more orders to come so I'll probably end up with more than that. Could you not tell this manager that that's where you got the magazines from (.com orders)? I seem to get 1 with every box even if I get 3 boxes with 1 order!yesterday my husband went off to get a second highlighter (since my previous post about boots mags at one per month per card holder), i did what you all do, take a mag with each transaction. well, poor hubby was not amused as he was pulled my the manager infront of everyone and said that he already had a mag and highlighter (about 15 mins before) and was not 'allowed' any more magazines or highlighters. i couldnt believe it, for all he knew we had paid a £1 for the magazine. he is lucky it wasnt me he was serving as i am much more argumentative and i would have given him his answer ! we were virtually frogmarched from the store by their eyes. the cashier girls were very good with the wipes/highlighter. i said what a good doeal it was and they all just said that they get so many vouchers and freebies that they didnt need to exploit this to to fill my boots - excuse pun !
Personally I'd be very tempted to ring up CS and ask where you stand with this. If he is in fact wrong then I would definitely be making a complaint.
Have you not got another Boots store that you could use?:smileyhea Proud Mummy of 2 :smileyheaTotally addicted to Boots glitches & the Next sales!0 -
I agree with this too. If they really need more then 3 then they should have to log back in and do another order to give others a chance (although this could be a problem with delivery charges). I have ordered multiples in some sets but never more than 3 of anything.techno_saver wrote: »Does anyone think that the internet shopping could be a slightly fairer system if it limited purchases of an item to three per transaction.
The Ted Baker sets were limited and they stayed on for quite a while.:smileyhea Proud Mummy of 2 :smileyheaTotally addicted to Boots glitches & the Next sales!0 -
This may be an obvious question but how can you tell how many are in stock ? I can't see that on the site anywhere ?
ThanksSo little money - so much time :mad:0 -
yes i have got another store but is no-where near as big as the ones in norwich. never had this problem with lakeside or romford but there you go. i didnt receive anything with my (one) item, perhaps its a reward for buying lots ! i must say, in revenge of my poor husbands treatment, i wondered what all you girls on here would do. in true fashion of what i have learned, i picked up a magazine infront of staff, took out coupon, bought product, got another magazine with it, took out coupon etc. got a few of the highlighters with the 25p wipes !!! that'll teach them !! wouldnt have had the courage if it wasnt for you girls.A happy wife, and mum to 2 lovely little boys :j0

Went to Boots in Merthyr Tydfill the one on the retail park been so excited about going wasn't that impressed when I got there!! There was nothing reduced on the NO7 range no tan wipes nothing!
On a good note though I managed to get the Olay Thermal stuff and used the 300points coupon and £5 voucher also used a 200 point coupon for buying pantene and 100 for buying hairspray.
Does anyone know how Swansea is looking for the No 7 stuff I sooooo want a highlighter!!
:xmassmile Looking forward to December:xmassmile0 -
If you add 99 of the item to your basket then the site automatically updates your basket to how many items are left in stock, if that makes sense. This may be an obvious question but how can you tell how many are in stock ? I can't see that on the site anywhere ?

Complain, seriously. That's outrageous. I can't see anywhere on the mag or the highlighter voucher that says you are allowed only one. I'd tell Boots that as far as you are concerned you have not broken any of their specified terms and that you do not appreciate being treated in such a manner, especially not in public. I'd also tell them that unless they address this matter to your satisfaction you will be taking legal advice. They have no right to embarrass you or your husband like that. Honestly, even shoplifters usually get treated better! At least they usually get taken to an office to be dealt with!

Totally agree. I would be mortified! It's the only thing that you can do really as it sounds like this manager has got a bee in his/her bonnet and the power has gone to their head.Complain, seriously. That's outrageous.
