All Boots seems to have different policy’s. What happens in one does not necessarily happen in another.
Successfully getting some of the better glitches often depends on if the SA you pick is willing to try. Its sometimes sensible to buy some other things to 'disguise' your bargain. If the SA won't put it through, please don't make a fuss - they are only doing their job. Just try again another SA / store / day. It is a good idea to try and make a friend in a SA if possible.
This is a brilliant quote that some peeps either haven't seen or have forgotten. Don't think anyone on this board has complained but some op's have on the £10 worth of no7 face powder thread. They have emailed boots complaining that SA's aren't letting them have the powder with reduced things they have also pointed them in the direction of this web-site saying well it says on there you can do it:eek: It just flags up the glitches, I Hope this doesn't put a stop to our fun. Customer services responce was No you shouldn't get it with reduced products as part of the not to be used with any other offer. I haven't been able to get the powder myself and i acept it when SA says no. Please remember we are luckly to get the stuff we do. thanks all you peeps that share the glitches in the first place and thanks to a lovely op on here who has got the powder for me. Sorry if i have upset someone that did complain.
To be fair kitiaracat, and bearing in mind I haven't read the other thread at all, I think some people are sick of the attitude of a small number of SA's who seem to take delight in exclaiming, and loudly at times, that "This can't be used in conjunction with any other offer". That and the fact that some stores have removed the highlighter/magazine/tanning wipes etc, only enhances the customers' frustrations imho.
I've been shopping online and instore for years at Boots, yet the first time I ever used the ACM was when the 75% off sale began a few weeks ago. As the points systems etc baffled me (still does) I expect a little bit of help from SA's - and this is where the small number of staff let people down. Again, that's just been my experience.
Although I said I had a "blast" in the sales, I can't count today's experiences as one of my better shopping days. I'll be firing off an e-mail to CS this week, but not about being refused a highlighter - just the poor standard of service that Boots online and instore have offered me personally.
Good service and manners costs nothing does it?
Anyway .... I can see both points of view, but I hope people don't think I'm one of those whinging types that complain about anything. Life's too short - a bit like the Boot's salesOh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive. ~ Sir Walter Scott0 -

I just hope we get some more good ones like this. It has my vote for post of the month.:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0 -

Also the BFG on photo decided to reduce the memory cards to £2 now the 300pts coupons are out of date:mad:
The vouchers are still in date. :T :T
I got one on the 19th January and some today. They end on 19th Feb. Problem is I can't find any reduced memory cards.~ What goes around comes around ~0 -

Well a big thank you from me.....and I am going to nominate you for post of the month (can you let me know where on grabbit 14 it was so I can quote the post no. and that way point out that it was you and not the freebie board that raised this fantastic glitch).
I'd like to say a big 'thank you' to hesjane and everyone who nominated me for post of the month:D
This is by far the best thread - with the nicest people - I've come across on MSE
Long live Bootsing...and future glitches :j
Pollsdolls, thanks for letting us know about the MF GWP scanning for free.:T I think I've seen these in high street kensington, not sure if they still have them though. I've had quite a few MF GWP -without a purchase;) from that store; red/black boxes, nail sets, brush set and a clutch bag:j Lets see if I can find a few more to add to my collection:rotfl:0 -
Hi
Just wondering if anyone has had any luck getting the xmas box with the 5 mini perfumes in it (sorry can't remember the name of the box) in the Edinburgh area? It was £18 before xmas - I have read on here people have had them reduced.
They had them today in the Tollcross branch but still at £9 (50% off) They had taken them off the shelfs and had them downstairs as they had no space to display them  They are not going to sell down there are they? I wonder what else was down there???
I want one or two but not at that price!!I used to have a life............................... before MSE!!

Did anyone find any 90% sale stuff not on the clearance shelves (elsewhere in stores)?
I was too busy grabbing stuff and then carry loads of bags out of the store to check.0 -
Today Mr Boots paid me £3.74 to take away- 6x baby expert wipes, 1x pantene conditioner, 1x foundation, 1x body spray, 2x body bars and 2x mini's.
I spent £17,64, got £13.38 in points, but 2x 500 soltan points had to be added manualy and SA didn't mark reciept, so returned these and got refund but kept the points.
So spent £9,66 and still kept the £13,38 in points ( another 2x skincare vouchers also).
However I have had to waste 6x skincare vouchers as none of the 4 branches I went to had anything under £12.99!!
I was hoping to get 4x olay face washes to use with 4x 500 PC vouchers ( Thanks ANTA)!!!
I have complained to Boots via email about this, as what is the point in doing a promotion to then not allow the skint people to take them up on it?
The expert PC voucher didnt work in any of the 4 shops, although I only ended up paying £1.53 per 2 packs, the 2x full size/ free mini worked out well, used £1 off on each as well as ACM vouchers and only ended up payin £1 for all four items.
I tried doing the 3 4 2 glitch with highlights voucher and 2x mascaras but the Sa was having none of it, wouldn't even try, she run off to get a manager to come tell me "NO".0
