  • I went in early to my local Boots and there was no-one there!

Got a few Ted Baker sets and some lynx sets. A couple of bubble baths, a Thomas annual and two Thomas leappad games. They also had some glitter girl things, so i got a couple of little bags, purses and fairy wands. Also had some xmas cards & paper, some Aromatics for men and loads of sweets!

Spent £20 in the end and got two massive bags full!

I managed to get to Boots but there was only Lynx magazine packs....bought 5 because it's cheaper than buy the boys the stuff inside separately. Apart from that just used up the last of the facial skincare vouchers.

I got a Dora whizz kid learning system by Vtech reduced from £17.99 to £1.79 so very happy

Hmmm, now I'm annoyed. I paid £1.89 for mine. :rotfl:

Very little in Harlow. Bought some wrap and Simpsons crackers, oh and some of the Santa Express trains just for the yummy marshmallows.

    Back from the sale.

In the big store I got ted baker stuff for £1.50, so not bad. Wouldn't have paid more than that really.

In the small store, they had bits and bobs at amazing prices: ROC retinox night sets for £3, Roc neck lifting cream for £0.50, Olay total effects moisturiser + travel samples for £1.50, boots gorgeous feet set for £0.80, skin doctors capillary clear for £1. The clearance section was at the back of the store because the SA was still marking the prices down. Great haul!! Gifts for my mother and my mother in law sorted!!!

I'm just sharing this with you not to make you envious, but for you to look out for the small stands hidden in weird corners of the store. You won't find the same stuff, but there may be things worth buying. ;)

Fantastic find pcg2001:T where was this? Did you use the £5 skincare vouchers too?
  • i went into solihull town centre all they had was loads of the ted baker speaker sets and a few of the lyns magazine sets. there were loads of empty shelves so i was wondering what i missed out on lol.

also went to the retail park but they didn't have much other then a few shrek and bart simpson bubble baths and the 90% signs were not even up. they also had a reduced section with loads of make up bits especially 17 all at £1- £3.

    I think I'm finally cured.

.com ruined my sale order, so I wrote and had a 'you're quite right that was dreadful service - have 1000 points' reply - I know it sounds ungracious but that doesn't actually address the problem, and I have just been treated yet again by a Boots SA as if I was a particularly irritating child. I was standing, harming no-one, wondering (in my head) whether the wipes I had would qualify for the £5 voucher. I am so sick of their rudeness, which is increasingly the norm.

Sorry this doesn't help anyone else.

    Slightly worn out mum to 3 (DS1 May 03, DS2 Feb 05, DD1 Feb 08). When i grow up i think i'll become a UN Peace keeper....

I sell lots at bootfairs, made a packet last year with all the No7 sun stuff, eg, the Lynx sets I got today for £1.14 I will sell the deo at £1.25 and the shower gel at a £1 but because I got 5 at £5.70 I also got a voucher so got 3 sanctuary masks which will sell for 75p each (£1.79 instore) but I also get a lot of this stuff with points so make an even bigger profit.;)

The profit then pays for days out, weekends away etc for me and my 2 kids when they are on school hols

I also use stuff for school fayres etc. and gifts throughout the year.

How much do you sell the wipes for? I have a ton of these and thinking of doing a bootie, not sure what prices to charge though?

I went to the Luton branch this morning and the 75% sale signs were still up, so I decided to buy one item to see if it had been reduced further - it had:j so filled up my basket. I got 3 TB sets with clock. 8 rose bath crystals for 30p each and 3 lynx sets. Wanted to buy more but I don't have the storage space.

I also found 4 £5 skincare vouchers, which I used on 6 sanctury masks and 2 mini wash:D

A big thanks to the OP:T as I would never have thought to use the vouchers on the sanctaury minis or the masks. I now have loads of these:D

I would also like to thank everyone who posts glitches on this board. Much appreciated. While I'm at it I may aswell thank myself for the high lights glitch. However, MSE Martin is under the impression the person who started the thread on the freebies board is the OP of the high lights glitch. I don't suppose he reads the boots grabbit threads. If he did, he would know that moi mentioned the glitch first many weeks ago on grabbit 14;)
