Has anyone been refused a Time Delay Eye Brightener? Tried to get one today and pay extra 50p, but SA was having none of it and said that it wasn't part of the offer, as it isn't classed as facial! Will try to other boots tomorrow.

I got a Time Delay Eye Brightener (plus 50p) with the voucher in the Boots at the Arnison Centre, Durham.

I also got a highlights illuminating powder and two No7 shimmering lip and eye screen on 3 4 2 but boy did I have to work for it! I was going to take it to the main till but No7 SA caught me so paid there. She asked me if I had an advantage card so I said "yes", she said you could get a voucher for free powder I said "I already have one". I thought she was being very helpful and more so when she said they are on 3 4 2. But when she put the transaction through I realised she had put through 3 lip and eye screens (3 4 2) and the powder for free. I said I wanted 2 lip and eye screens and the powder on 3 4 2. She said we can't do that cos you can't use voucher with any other offer so I asked her to try and it went through!! She called her supervisor over to have a look who said "there are only two lip and eye screens not three. The SA said that's what the lady asked me to do - not happy. The supervisor said that's not right it takes too much money off, there must be a problem with the voucher. I had someone this morning who only bought one thing and got the powder free (obviously expecting me to do the same). I said but the till has accepted it and stood my ground! They umed and ahed and eventually the supervisor said put it through and we'll sort it out later. The SA said we're not supposed to do that but because you insisted. They were not happy. My legs were shaking when I came out!

I also picked up another magazine and forgot to show it at the till but no problem.

Thanks for this, i'll keep trying until I get it, the other boots I went today were out of stock of them so will try some more tomorrow.

  • Hi,

Went to till today in east Kilbride, near Glasgow, with No 7 intelligent colour foundation, face powder and highlights powder. Handed it over to SA and she said if you get magasine Voucher you can get another No7 product, i just said thanks for letting me know but i think it'll go through the till as it is. She said she didn't think so but i re-assured that a friend of mine had and it was fine for them. She tried it and was pleased for me, total to pay 14.50. Was well pleased.

Then tried to use 500 advantage points voucher with 6.99 olay regenerist thermal polish, wouldn't go through the till, SA check with supervisor and said only the 2 products pictured applied to offer. I just said it says clearly on voucher 'all regenerist" and just said i'll use 5 pounds of till spit instead. Called Customer services and they credited my card for 500 points because it is misleading, and would look into why till didn't accept.

Have had time delay eye brightener twice no problem.

Boots in Staines don't have any no7 tan wipes, so I bought two no7 eye shadows from the reduced stock @ £1 each, and got the Illuminating powder free with the voucher. 342 didn't work though, maybe because of the reduced items. Anyway, I spent £2 and used 250 points coupon from the last no7 gift bag. The SA was really pleased that I got such a bargain!

It's like the good old days of Bootsing

LOL my Oh, just came home from work for his dinner, he couldn't get in - Parcel man had just been.........................7 great big boxes and 2 small ones, i of course had started getting excited and opened everything, one skip full of brown paper for the recycle men still on the floor...................

So I did the courteous thing, i ran to the kitchen quickly wrapped his rolls and told him i'd have dinner on the table at 5.05pm and to not be late :rotfl:
He said i was unbelievable - I mean how ungreatful i did wrap his rolls up
coupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there
