Yep that's right, popped in this morning, assistant said all branches will close the offer by 12:30... so I didn't have time to move any money about

My father opened one of these on Saturday.

He did try and fix an appointment with them on Friday evening for Saturday but the local A&L branch had no slots left - so he just turned up on Saturday and they did it there and then anyway..

Having moved a chunk of money out of an account in order to open one of these that is very annoying, particularly since the only reason I was waiting until Wednesday was because these jokers said they couldn't book me an appointment before then in any of their Central London branches.

Sounds like A & L just lost my business.
