Problem With Shower Mixer Tap

Hi all,
purchased a new Shower mixer tap and Basin taps recently. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220187403545

Have just fitted it, but when running a bath the water only trickles out & takes ages to fill the bath compared to my previous taps - with which i could set a bath in no time.
I've taken the spout off and noticed that the hole that the water comes out of is tiny.
Is this right? As to me, it seems the hole should be bigger.

If so, should i widen it or is there another reason why the water is not flowing out as fast as before?

N.B The basin taps are working fine.

Any replies will be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi
I would guess you have a low pressure gravity system (with stored water in the roof )
and you've bought taps intended for high pressure mains.
Not much you can do about it except fit a pump.
