IKEA Edmonton

I had to visit IKEA in Edmonton (that's the one which they had to close on opening day due to riots!) and I was dreading it. Mid afternoon on a Saturday is NOT my favourite time to visit!
Anyway, I managed to park fairly close to the entrance, got inside and did my shopping. When I asked a member of staff for help, he was very pleasant and courteous. He helped me find what I wanted and gave me advice on what was the best buy. When I arrived at the tills, there were only 2 people in front of me (which is great by IKEA standards), but a customer services lady came up and opened another till for me. The entire trip took under 40 minutes. Unfortunately, I saw a rather unpleasant side where a charming woman started being verbally abusive to a member of staff after he wouldn't serve her when she pushed to the front of a queue (something that REALLY winds me up.) The staff member remained very calm and collected, despite some VERY unpleasant language. I was really pleased to see security removing the woman from the shop. The till member carried on unperturbed, said "I am very sorry you had to see that" to the next customer and carried on serving! Very impressive to see a shop that REALLY has a zero-tolerance attitude to abuse. :beer:
This new IKEA is so much nicer than the horrible old one in Brent Park, where I find the store shabby, the staff rude and the queues for tills and parking horrendous.

It is not the bullet with your name on it, rather the one addressed "to whom it may concern" that should worry you!
