yeah i'm a member, as long as you know your prices and what's a good deal or not. You will be buying in bulk so obvs you'll need lots of storage.
toilet/kitchen rolls are good value, birthday cakes , meat etc......
you will save your money back but only if go regulary or buy lots at a time.
you get sent a booklett with deals of the week every month.
i go prob once or twice a month.0 -
I think it depends if you normally buy quality stuff. Own supermarket stuff is often a lot cheaper.
Can you look around first before joining? I sort of got a visitors pass years ago, couldn't buy anything though.0 -

Go up to the membership desk and tell them that you are thinking of joining but want a look around first. They will give you a day pass and you can still buy stuff. The day pass won't let you pay by cheque though.
Remember that Costco isn't always about being ultra-cheap. The items on sale are generally very good quality or available in packs that you can't get on the High Street.
I've been a member of Costco since they first opened and it's a great place to shop for certain things. The man without a signature.0 -
Hi, i.m a member but do find most things more expensive than supermarkets because they do have rather a lot of offers on now.0

Forgot to mention that Costco have one of the best no quibble returns policies around. You can return stuff for what may seem the most spurious reason. Plus if you are dissatisfied at any point during the membership year they will also refund the membership fee in full (no pro-rata rubbish). The man without a signature.0

The Jalapeno Cream Cheese Poppers are worth the membership fee alone

I've been a member of Costco for years. As other posters have said they are not always as cheap as supermarkets. Things I have found to be a lot cheaper though are stuff like contact lens fluid (around £17 for 4 large bottles vs around £12 for 1 bottle in the shops) Washing powder, dishwasher tablets and fabric conditioner are also very cheap.
All of the food they sell in there is top quality but not the cheapest - definitely good value for money though.0 -
Is Costco cheaper than Makro?
I normally shop at Makro as it's great to buy items in bulk (ie: Leading brands in toilet tissue, baked beans washing powder etc)0
