I would like seamless socks for my 7 year old

Another one here with the sock problems - no.2 son is 4, and has been like it for as long as he could tell us. He's hypersensitive, hypermobile and suspected AS too, so it's obviously a common 'symptom'.
We've found Next do about the best socks (for him at least - he also doesn't like them too elasticated/clingy) - they're not seamless, but are relatively smooth, but even so, we often end up turning them inside out, and 'refitting' them a couple of times before we get out of the door.
As all our kids get bigger, you can get seamfree socks in the more expensive ranges, generally sold as 'hand linked toe'. They are pricey, but will generally last for ages.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -

I have the same problem with my 10 yr old son.
Only place I have found to buy seamless socks is in the USA. Take a look at https://www.storesonline.com/site/547049/page/45029
I have just purchased 20 pairs for around $120 (£65) including deliver to UK.
A little steep comapred to normal sock but if it means a bit of peace and quite when it comes to putting shoes on and only taking 2 mins to put shoes and socks on instead of the current 15 mins. Then it is worth any penny. :T

Just a quick note - went to Next yesterday (for socks - think they must eat them). There is one style in particular which is virtually a seamless toe - the three-pack with the car/boat/plane line-drawings on the leg (352-365-x41 online). They're £2.50 or 2 for £4
950-709-x41 is very similar style (animals rather than transport) - they weren't in store though, so I didn't get a look at the toes.
First socks we've not had grizzles and gripes about for a few months :jDFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -

Can't believe I never thought of turning the socks inside out!
My son has Asperger's and have to remove lables from all his clothes, but socks are a real problem.
Glad I found this link searching for 'seamless socks' on Google - lots of good ideas.
Thanks!0 -
Hi - I think a lot of children (well the parents actually!) go through this phase. My youngest DD is one of them!! The older one hated seams too but has grown out of it - she will only wear trainer socks now!!!
Turning socks inside out worked with both of mine - I also found that buying cheap socks and replacing them if they felt a bit 'scrunchy' - her words - not mine - (after about 5 washes) also worked. I tried anything just so we could get to school without a problem every morning.
Good Luck!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi
My 6 year old daughter has had problems with the seams in her socks, I have been searching but tonight, I popped into NEXT and found some seamless socks!!!! They are a pack of 5 and are very colourfull, they must be new in. You might have to search through their range of socks but there's one pair with apples on, one cream with a cat, one blue with dots and a chick, one pink with a dog, one striped. just to help you distinguish them.
Hope this helps.0 -
Just got some kids' socks, packs of three, from TKMAXX. Packaging says they are made by elle.co.uk. Not advertised as "seamless", but are really smooth. Colours all pink/white patterns.0
