Are virgin cheques expensive to use against my credit card?
Why i ask is i have found someone that is selling an item i want and collect, its expensive and i dont have the money in my bank to cover the cost, and as i would need to transfer the money overseas to a company i deal with i would need to pay this cheque into my bank account from virgin so i then have the funds required and can then send overseas.
Is this recommended or a bad move and what would the the cost, fees charges for doing such thing, meaning how could i work out what it would cost me if i did this on the long run.
I might not see the item again and as its something i collect and have not seen another in 9 years of collecting and as i dont have just enough funds in my bank to cover it,if this was a good or bad option to pay a cheque into my bank.
Ideally would have been great to have had the company overseas just charge my card, but they prefer a bank transfer for this amount and anyway if they did want to use my card the fee would be 4.7% as thats what they are charged.

Are you in your introductory period?
Is there a balance on the card now?
Has the account been well managed?
What's your 'cash' advance interest rate?
Is there a fee for the cheque, usually 3%?0 -
