erirates- here to dubia stop for 4 days then to HK

Hi i'm going to see my parents in hong kong at the end of march, after some told me on here about stop overs i have decided i may as well see my friend in dubai for a few days first. now my question is this, will i have to book this in a f2f travel agents as what i want is quite particular? and will it cost more? i would like to book online if i can and get a bit of cashback..... however the main thing is to get it booked. i have tried on erirates site but cant seem to set it so i get 3-4 days in dubi. any help would be gratefully recevied :)

if booking online, look for a 'multi stop' or 'multiple destination' option, enter UK - Dubai in first leg, Dubai - HK in the second leg for few days after your first leg, and then HK - UK for your final leg. this should do it and use your free stopover allowance... if not, just tell your travel agents what you want to do - and make sure that the fare they have available have a free stopover (they usually do). ok, try it through opodo (www.opodo.co.uk) and click on 'Multi stop' flight (about half way down the page in the middle under the dropdown menus to select number of adults, next to search button).

in my experience they have been one of the cheaper options, give it a go!

ebookers allow you to do it as well; go to http://www.ebookers.com/shop/home then click on 'more search options' and then 'multi-city'.

although, hold on, you CAN do it on the emirates site -just click on http://fly.emirates.com/IBE/SearchAvailability.aspx and there's an option for stopovers..
