Best place to buy a carpet kicker

Hi,
Just wondering where to buy a carpet kicker from. I've tried diy.com and they didn't have anything and screwfix.co.uk is currently offline due to volume of orders. Although I'd settle for the normal straight type I'm really interested in the ratchet type. With the normal one you kick it with your knee the other your use your knee as a anchor point and rachet up the head.
Any help appreciated.
Cheers
Rob

You'll just have to be patient, and wait for ScrewFix, they do 'em.I find Viagra saves peeing on my shoe.....0

Hubby says carpet fitters use the straight extendable type with adjustable spike depth, made by Roberts or Floorline. Try an independant carpet shop, they might order one for you. Expect to pay £65+, you can get cheaper ones in diy shops but they won't last long.Bulletproof0

If you don't need one to keep, then hire one for the job? I rented one from Eurohire for £2 a dayNO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0

Cheers for the info guys. £65+ sounds like alot of money considering i'm not going into carpet fitting full time. Think I'll either hire one or buy one @ ~ £30 from ebay and take the risk that it won't last that long.
