Cheapest Sky Subscription

I am a lapsed Sky customer having cancelled my contract a couple of years ago.
The equipment is still working and in place.
I've been thinking about starting a subscription again.
Could you tell me if I'm likely to get any special deals if I phone Sky and ask to start a subscription.
What's the cheapest subscription and what do you get for it?

Are you aware the sky gear can still be used as it is for freesat?
They also do a good braodband offer. £16 pm for 3 mixes and broadband I think it is. Unfortuantaely I can't get it in my area, shame as I pay £15 just for broadband.0 -
Yes i have just plugged it in. But I no longer have a card so can't get ch4 and five.
I'd also quite like to have the documentary channels. I'm wondering if I phone them up they might do a deal.
Ultimately I'm waiting to use the dish for the new Freesat service the BBC and ITV are launching which will be completely free and HD channels yey!0 -
you can phone up sky and ask for a freesat card, there might be one off small charge but I think it's not too bad, I think their smallest package is about £17pm, or there are deals for the sky and broadband. Thanks to all the competition posters.0

Yep, their cheapest package is currently £17 per month.
This is the free to air stuff and three "packages". You choose three from the offered six and I'm pretty sure that documemntaries is one of them.
Go look at www.sky.com and you'll find it.
