Tom Tom Go 300
When switching the unit on, it comes up with a red cross through the SD card. Have tried resetting unit. It will not connect to Tom Tom home for upgrade ( on internet site)
Any advice or should i send the unit back to Tom Tom.
Many Thanks

Have you taken the card out?
I had one that did the same, I took the card out, wiped it, and put it back in. That seemed to cure the problem. A red cross through the card means it cannot read the card.
Did you back the card up onto your computer?0 -
I took the card out as part of the reset procedure and cleaned it, but that did not work. I am able to read the card in a SD card reader OK and have put the backed up files onto the card with windows, as I can not get the TomTom to communicate with the PC.0

I think you will have to return it to Tom Tom I'm afraid.0

Before returning it, I have the Tom Tom 510 and the same thing happened. If you look in the back of the tom tom where it connects to the adaptor, there will be a tiny little screw type dot ( ours is gold) press that in as it is a reset button. Your tom tom will work again.0

Tried doing that to reset it and it made no difference.0

Try putting the back up details onto a new SD card. The card maybe faulty but luckily you still have the backup.0
