Hi guys
I am needing upgrade my PC internals as its 2 bit slow and old.
Just looking for something a bit more better but still basic as i only really use computer for is the internet
I only have
10GB
64MB
well u get the idea of things neway
I have seen some deals about for a few hundred just for the tower pre-built. just wanted to know what you guys recommend 1st

For cost: a sempron 2600 processor, 256mb ddr ram (512 would be better & will only be about £15 more), 80gig hard drive, basic motherboard with onboard sound/graphics.
Under £170 (without a case). Then there is operating system but that’s another issue.0 -
am looking for a complete tower plug and play really. something a bit better than what i got tho0

PC World often sell off older/slower PCs - normally a little pile of 'reduced' stuff somewhere near the main systems display areas (they also have other reduced bins for printers, software, books, accessories etc). I picked up a reasonable eMachines base unit last year for £200 (80g/256m, XP Home and some basic software). For normal 'office type' stuff, almost anything knocked out in the last 2-3 years should be more than sufficient. For internetting etc, I wouldn't pay any more than a couple of hundred either.0
