Refund request - advice needed

I told her that I would give her a refund and I was willing to do this so I said it will happen once I get the dvd returned. Like I said it got held up with customs and then my views on the refund changed because I was not gonna pay the customs charge so I never had the DVD back in my hands.
I did not fancy saying to her that she foot the bill for the customs charge because that would take a large chunk of the refund from her anyway.
So right now I feel in no mans land lol
Cheers again guys!0 -
One thing is for sure, when it happens again i'll not be so quick and nice to offer a refund.
At least not without conditions involving customs anyway.0 -

Why ever not!?! It was entirely her mistake. If she had put correct amount on customs slip then you wouldn't be in this mess.
So who will pay the customs bill?Surely when she gets it back she will have to pay it?So she may as well have had a refund minus the £9.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
I tried to explain my side of the story to paypal, she claims that I sold her bootlegs and copies!! what a laugh. Paypal allowed her to write a nice long explanation and when I say 'tried' when I wrote my side of the story I meant it. Paypal only gave me 2 little boxes to write in each would only allow 200 characters!! I could not fit in half of what I wanted to say, it does not look good.0

Your buyer sounds like a right charmer who knows the scams and inside-outs of chargebacking - she's definitely taking the p!55 and knows that Paypal are probably going to find in her favour. You have to remember this is Paypal and not some logical and fair mediation service, they just want their fees and don't care who they get them from.
I'd be raging too if I was in your shoes...but just stand your ground as far as you can with Paypal..you never know.
This could turn into just one long "he said, she said" saga and I'd personally be tempted to just cut my losses, refund her which will close the dispute/restore your Paypal account back to normal and then NEG the b1t*h! - she's probably going to neg you anyway so you may as well warn others about her. Logging into ebay Taiwan gives you much more characters to leave feedback (155 I think) rather than just the 80 on ebay co.uk.
Incidentally, what's the id? I sell DVD's too and want to block her
.
Good luck though...some ppl are just pains in the ar*e...neg her/block her/forget her and move on!0 -
She is one nasty customer! I tracked down her Id as you requested & on page 2 of the feedback she has been at this before!

I see you've already left her feedback, thats a shame. Still, leave a followup comment to your feedback at some point, maybe when the disputes done - at least that way you can have some say in this mess. How she could say the item is a fake is ridiculous. Why not block overseas buyers from now on, in case you encounter this problem again, esp. as you seem to be selling mostly region 2 dvds.
Good Luck0 -

Yea I am quick to leave feedback, maybe I should only leave it once they have left me it first in future.
I have never had a problem with selling overseas, ok some payment get a bit complex when they have trouble with paypal but it usually works out in the end. Alot of my buyers are from oversea's i'd say at least 20% plus. I love to offer my range of dvd's to people anywhere and not just our small island that is the UK because I want people from anywhere to be able to enjoy them.
In this day and age with the region free players available, it should not be a problem. When they come back to me and they won't play I tell them to buy one!

Just to let you guys know that this case has been settled. Paypal emailed me this week after several weeks of reviewing my case and they decided not to refund her!
So Paypal work in the sellers favour!0 -
Flippn' eck! What's happening in the online world of auctions??? Ebay actually closing down dodgy sellers...PAYPAL actually doing something right! lol
Well done! They do actually listen then..sometimes...pity it took a month though!0
