No - you're thinking of fixed rate / fixed period .. where an endpoint is determined at the opening point? The 'with card' .. is just an open ended variable Web .... no 'maturity' until you decide to close it. Then (previous post) you'll have the option of routeing the balance + interest .. as you close it (immediately after 18th July?? unless they extend the bonus etc?)

ahh, got it confised. Thought the original poster was talking about a fixed rate account. My bad, apologies!

No ... the closure facility at the bottom of the 'tax info etc' page is the only online way I know. Can't really try it for you ... as definitely don't want to close one of mine by getting that far and not being able to retreat!

Are you sure the account you're nominating to receive the funds / interest is correct? (although I'm sure they will give you a 'drop down' to pick it from)

Final thoughts: When you are on the limit of 5 and close one - in order to open a further one ..... you have to wait overnight (through their Batch run) .. otherwise it alleges you are (still) up to the max of Websavers allowable? It's a while since I closed one .. so does it complete the closure overnight as well? If you did it at 0200hrs (?) .. you may have to go through tonight now. Give the online Helpdesk a ring ... you may be lucky and get someone knowledgeable!
If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !

Ah, when i click on that close option, it tells me to type in the account numbers. There is also a notice asking me to add my accounts if i dont see them in the drop in menu. All my accounts with them are already added online but none of the accounts do show up.

Is it time to ring them up?

Probably .. as it doesn't sound as though it's something that will remedy in their Batch run tonight. Did try to pull up their Help pages earlier but their online bits weren't working.

They now are - but only confirm that what you've done, should work :-
