AIG Car insurance and Quidco

Hi. Not sure if this is the right place to post. i am just coming up to that horrible time of year where i have to sort out MOT, car tax and insurance! I have just got some quotes from moneysupermarket and it looks like AIG have given me a great quote (but a bit more than others). The thing is this quote is even better if i can use Quidco as they are offering £90 cashback. Anyone tried this?

Cheers

My advice to you would be to give it a go.

If it doesn't track within 2 days, cancel the policy and try again. It doesn't not cost anything to cancel within 14 days.

I can only talk about prudential car insurance actually tracking... statistically they track quite well. I once tried with looyds TSB insurance and it didnt work... their stats arent available like AIG.

Hi, I'mgoing to taking out policy with AIG motor insurance via Quidco today.

Someone mentioned that if it doesn't track within 2 days you can cancel and try again. How do you cancel - via Quidco on their site or directly with AIG on their site? Obviously its important do it the correct way.

    Thanks for help.

    Direct with the insurer.

Check the policy details - many on-line insurers give you longer than 2 days to cancel (eg pru give you 14 days from receipt of the documents). If AIG give you longer, then this means you can give Quidco a little longer than just 2 days to show the transaction on your account before you cancel and start again.

Have you just used moneysupermarket or have you tried other sites too?

I always start off using moneysupermarket, but there are a lot of decent cheap sites that they don't check...

Make sure you try Churchill, Prudential, Direct Line, Tesco (use the tesco comparison site to do loads at once).

I also took Home insurance with AIG the other week. £90 is tracking fine at the moment.

£81 Contents only insurance policy for my apartment = £9 profit and an insurance policy.

    Fingers are still crossed.
