do you keep your heating on each day. I have gas central heating and try to limit it to 2-3 hours a day usually in the evening when we need it most.
If i could i would, but i cannot so i wont, but maybe one day i will.

Gaas Central Heating? - About 1 to 2 hours.
We've swithched off the timer so to have heating we need to go up to the boiler and press the "Extra Hour" button - this is ideal as an hour's heating is all that's needed in the morning to heat the house all day. Sometimes if it's chilly on the evening we press that button again. But not always.
Best thing we ever did was to get cavity wall and extra loft insulation. It must have paid for itself the first winter.I am the Cat who walks alone0 -

We carn't have cavity wall insulation as we are all brick. Just wondering how much heat loss this causes. Might be able to thicken up loft insulation though. If i could i would, but i cannot so i wont, but maybe one day i will.0 -

You have solid walls  - "If you own a property with solid walls, up to 45% of the heat produced can be lost" -
