    sorry hapless

Don't get sucked by those who say they do.

To "contact" the dead go to a spiritualist church, to seek the future, go to a tarot reader or palmist.

No "fortune teller" can tell you what will definately happen.

Example, I did the cards once for a friend of mine. It pointed to a health issue in a a specific month (12 month spread). Nothing dangerous, just something that means she would have to be careful about herself.

That specific month she phoned me up and told me she was pregnant. It was a bit of a shock as she was as far as I knew a lesbian. I had no idea she had found a man.

No reader can be specific for pin-pointing dates, happenings etc. they certainly would not be able to find your brother or tell you who to look for.

To find your brother I think the Salvation Army keep a list of people looking for adopted siblings, not 100% on that though.

Psychics do not predict the future.

Never has truer words been said. There are two types of "reader" .."psychic" and "spiritual" there IS a difference and YES they do exist but the validity of genuine readers has been demonised due to the amount of Charlatans out for a fast buck preying on the vulnerable (and yes anybody who is at crossroads in life/hitting a brickwall IS vulnerable)

Readers cannot predict the future, that would make the whole process of life pretty much a wasted exercise. What they can tap into though is potentials (our concept of time is very narrow). Sadly when a potential is seen it is corrupted by the reader's own preconceptions and experiences.

If a TRUE reader is genuine their main purpose is in giving comfort to somebody who has difficulty in overcoming this frame of mind and if they are genuine they would NOT charge (and that opens up a whole new can of worms so to speak)
    The years starts today ....

  • I would go to a spiritualist church look in the south wales echo on a saturday and they are usually advertised i know theres one at 7pm every saturday on park grove which is near the museum, sometimes you can get private readings they are very good i have been many times. I wouldn't bother with so called fortune tellers they are usually after making a quick buck.

I know this sounds stupid but is it okay to just "turn up" at a spiritualist church? There's one at the end of my street and they have a service on Sunday evening and "clairvoyance" on a Tuesday. I really want to go (long story) but haven't got the guts just to turn up on spec.

And it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end

I have one simple criterion when it comes to anything paranormal / spiritual. I will believe any of them who get 1 million US dollars out of James Randi. If I were in that way "gifted" I'd do it, not for the money, but for the credibility it would give me.

Of course, I would say that, because I like to think of myself as a skeptic.

Good luck in whatever path you choose Ruby and I hope you find what you are looking for, however you seek it.

  • These people (including those at spiritualist churches) will not help you. They will only give you false hope or try to fleece you. Probably both.

I'm not sure. But it should be OK to just turn up to see a psychic. They'll probably be expecting you.

Yes it's fine to turn up to the spiritualist church they do not try to fleece you like one person said (who has probably had no valid experience with them what so ever)they usually charge you a couple of quid but as long as you are not looking to them for all the answers in your life you'll be okay. i've had some great readings in the past they're not all cold readers.
