Searching for a 37" LCD TV with Freeview (merged threads)

I've searched and browsed most of the threads on flat screen t.v's. and not being a very technical person I'm totally confused.

I'm searching for a 37" flat screen LCD television with Freeview built in and possible to wall mount the tv. I don't need to link the tv to my computer or play games on it. I just want a decent picture to watch on a reliable television.

Does anybody know of a television like this; at a reasonable price.

All replies appreciated. Thanks.

What do you think is a reasonable price?

I think the Panasonic Viera TVs have integrated Freeview. If I find anything I will come back and post, does it have to be 37".

Just checked Which and their best buys in 37" and with Freeview are:

    Toshiba 37C3030D - £700
    Toshiba Regza 37X3030D - £650
    Panasonic TH-37PX70 - £700
    Panasonic TX-37LZD70 - £1,100

Review was completed in January 2008 so really up to date.
Previously I've found that you can source items cheaper than the prices indicated on Which, if you are happy to spend some time looking round.

If you need a review of each of the TVs, please PM me with your email address.

My price band is up to £800. But if I can get that same set for £500 as a special sale price etc the Happy Saver will be very very happy .:D

Well the Samsung r88 comes under than price easily and you can get discount codes at Dixons or Currys. I got a great tv stand with mine too. The only gripe is the piano black, it seems to show dust easily but really looks nice

Dixons seem to offer it at £549.99 and there is a code to get £20 off and perhaps Quidco will also give me a few £s

    Here's probably a silly question:-

The specification here - SAMSUNG LE37R88BD 37" HD Ready digital LCD TV
towards the bottom of the page says NO against widescreen. But the picture of the television looks as if it's wide screen? It's probably my lack of technical understanding. But is it widescreen?

Is the above model the model you mean Poppycat? Am I better trying to get John Lewis to 'price match' Dixons as I understand JL will include a 5 year warranty.
