However, since OP is claiming that her son has been psychologically traumatised by all this, why hasn't her solicitor sent her son for a psychiatric report.
Perhaps that is because the OP has already said that her son was asleep in her bed, in another room when all this happened?RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

Thank you clutton for understanding my situation and what I ment. The solicitor reckons it would cost to much money as I told her about that. She told me to contact my GP to get a letter to state the stress I went through ie as in getting the repairs done, which took over a year. When the ceiing came down and it eventually got repaired the workmen accidently damaged the built in warbrobe so 2 of the doors were hanging off which had mirrors, other jobs to incl the leak from the toilet to the kitchen. When i was living there and seing my gp for my depression and my therapist, I would often tell them how stressed i was due to having to wait in all the time for the contractors to come out and then they would not turn up for the job which is why it took over a year for HA to complete all works due to the incident.
The solicitor told me that if she wrote to my GP it woukd cost her company which is why she wanted me to ask my gp but I had already left the area so i wrote a letter to my gp.I told her i had photos of the ceiling and the newspaper report and also a letter from my therapist which stated the stress and that it had affected my son.He was only 4 at the time and his room was so lovely, at that age its like a toyland for them. Anyway my gp never faxed the solicitor and when i rang her last she told me should would write to my gp even do i stated i was no longer a patient there.
Had i been clued up before and had a bit of help from my sons dad in regards to finance then maybe i would of been able to afford insurance but i could not afford it and like i said never thought something like that would happen as its not a thing that should happen.0 -
