Just seen a tv advert - Marks and Spencers are doing a special deal that if you spend over £35 on food you get a free 6 pack of aberdeen steak burgers (they looked really nice too!). I think it runs til Saturday. Just in case anyone usually shops at M&S!

They *are* really nice burgers, we had some for a barbecue the other week

They have done other offers like this in the last couple of months - they did one where you got some really nice salmon fillets a few weeks back.
I have to say that from a moneysaving point of view I always thought that it would work out really expensive shopping at Marks. However, I went there to do a shop a few weeks back and actually ended up spending less than usual...not only that, I didn't end up chucking away half the stuff like normal. When I thought about it, i think it's because when I go to Tescos or Asda I buy FOOD, but when I go to Marks I buy MEALS (and I don't mean, just ready meals, I mean, I actually think okay, it's expensive here so I'll get just what I need - dinner for Monday, dinner for Tuesday, etc).
Which goes to show, you can be moneysaving at M&S too if you're as disorganised as I am

And if the £35 spend includes 6 marked deli items you can get a free coolbag or outdoor rug too.

yeh but the quality of food in Asda is terrible now.....i end up taking over half back as it goes off before sell by date
My wife works at M&S and whilst some stuff is still pricey its alot cheaper than it used to be and not much more than Asda stuff....and MUCH better quality......dont go for ready meals much though so cant comment on them.....most ready meals are grim and poor valueStevie Coppell's record breaking blue and white royal army - championship winners 2005-60 -
I bought some M&S pitta bread the other day because Tesco had run out and I was astounded at how nice it was - I wouldn't have imagined that something so simple could taste so much better!0

Yes I could always find things in the food department that were cheaper than the other supermarkets. Food is generally nicer as well.0

Quite often they do the aberdeen angus burgers on bogof..........they really are delicious. When they're on offer I always buy a few packs for the freezer.
